ROAD CYCLING IN LE MARCHE

Le Marche is a dramatic region still largely unspoilt, without busy roads and major tourist centres typical of its better known neighbours. Its blend of coastal plains, valleys, mountains, lakes, woodland and hill towns gives an outstanding combination of options to satisfy the most demanding requirements. The Sibillini Mountains dominate the skyline in Southern Le Marche. The Conero region rises out of the coastal plain North of Ascoli Piceno and lies close to a stage of the Giro d'Italia.

Various routes, detailed as part of the Gran Fondo exist, however there are numerous roads rising into the mountains (up to around 2500m) offering hairpins, sweeping sections and breathtaking scenery. These routes lie largely undiscovered and waiting to be tested they have a significant benefit of being mainly free from traffic.

No amount of words can convey the benefits of this Region only a visit and a real cycling experience will convince you.
